Artist Profiles

Vlad Koboroff
Vlad will be playing a mix of popular and lesser known pop/rock performed in a slower, blues and folk style.


UNE Performs
The performers are all music graduates, or current students and staff of music at the University of New England presenting an exciting program of instrumentalists and singers (including operatic).


Red Grenadier
Elly Barrett and Missy Jones are a captivating new folk duo playing songs and tunes from many traditions with rich vocal harmonies and interweaving fiddles and guitar their performance is an enchanting and intimate musical experience that you won't want to miss.


Lily Rose
Lily Rose is just starting out on her musical performance journey. With a love of singing from a very young age she has picked up the ukulele as the perfect accompaniment to her sweet and emotionally capturing vocals.


Crooked Tree
Playing both originals and covers, duo Crooked Tree have an extensive and wide repertoire that caters for laid back listening and kicking your heels up.


The Warts
The Warts are influenced by everything from Space Rock to 60s Garage to Electronica. This band is committed to formulating a new sound that represents a shift away from overdone ideas.


Benjamin Thorn
Benjamin Thorn is an Armidale based composer and performer. He will be presenting solo music for recorders and ocarinas arranged by Benjamin Thorn exploring the sonic possibilities of the instruments.


The Graceless
The Graceless are a duet featuring Ella Thomas and Grace Toakly. They play a range of covers and original compositions with acoustic and electric guitars matched with vocals.


Helena Pastor and Chris Purcell
Lullaby & Lament – A Song Cycle is the result of the first collaboration between Chris Purcell (music) and Helena Pastor (lyrics) and is an eclectic mix of influences – folk, theatre music, music hall, pop, gospel, cradle songs (lullabies), and classical.


The Wild Women of Armidale
The Wild Women of Armidale have performed together for 30 years, singing their way through numerous political upheavals, cultural revolutions and just plain standing up against injustice! They sing their own songs, arrange sassy covers and invite others to join in the revolution.


Matty Moo
Matthew Turnbull plays original music. He lays down backing tracks on a synthesizer creating fun and groovy music inspired by Rex Orange County, Flume and Heaps Good Friends.


Greg Windred’s Racketeers
Greg Windred’s music has a distinctly Australian sound that weaves in and out of folk and blues genres. The Racketeers are three extraordinary Armidale musicians, who will take you on a roller coaster ride, their drive and passion will leave you breathless. Not to be missed!


Sarah Leete
Sarah Leete is a singer/songwriter and a full time musician in North West NSW. She is the winner of the 2015 Moree Superstar, and also the recipient of a 2016 Young Regional Artist Scholarship. She is an accomplished performer and has toured her music regionally and interstate.


Tri
‘Trì’ (pronounced ‘tree’) perform original songs and dance tune set arrangements inspired by the traditional and contemporary Celtic music repertoires of Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cape Breton, the Balkans and Galicia/Asturias in Spain.


JaM
JaM is James Thomson and Matt Rees. With just their voices, guitars and a stomp box this duo present catchy originals along with carefully chosen covers resulting in a fun and highly enjoyable live show.


The Gennys
'The Gennys' consists of a four piece band (lead guitar/bass guitar; keys; drums; vocals). They have a loud sound with trashy tones and play a mix of covers and original pieces. The band performs with a relaxed style that connects with a wide audience of all ages.


Evan & Rhodes
EVAN + RHODES is an acoustic pop cover duo covering music from a range of different artists including Michael Jackson, Ed Sheeran, Beyonce, and Sam smith.


Caramello Café
Caramello Café is a four piece band that plays original cabaret style performance songs that tell a story.


Pthalo Blue
Pthalo Blue, (Rach and Lynzz) are a musical collaboration traversing a wide range of styles including 1920’s popular songs, jazz songs, reversioned recent pop, blues, folk, funk, originals and anywhere in between.


Pete Stanley Trio
The Pete Stanley Trio sings covers of popular songs by the Beatles, Bee Gees, Kenny Rogers, Elvis Presley, Alan Jackson, Men At Work as well as original compositions. His trio of vocals, guitar, bass and drums delivers authentic and professional- sounding ballads, rock'n’roll - and everything in between.


Lyrico
Lyrico is a delightful ensemble that weaves ancient Celtic, medieval and mythological stories into colourful mesmerising melodies and songs.


The Armidale School
Senior students from The Armidale School will present a bracket of duos, solos and small bands performing a variety of musical styles including contemporary, country and rock.


MC and The Squares
MC and The Squares is a loose collective of musicians brought together to play original songs written by guitarist and singer Mark Cooper (MC). With a combination of guitars, violin, bass, mandolin and percussion the combination of strong lyrics and great playing brings these original songs to life.


Cilantro
16 year old Harris Thornton presents a short set of acoustic covers of fun and emotional songs from indie/alternative genres.


Altones
The Altones are duo Al Heeney and Tony Elder performing original songs written by Al.
